Transform your blues into creativity

Do you still remember your first childhood art craft project? Perhaps you couldn't remember anything that connects with your creativity. That's okay.
I may have not discovered my skills in painting until I tried it. So here's the thing - you will never know that you are capable of doing something until you begin. Many of us are afraid to start because we aim for perfection but we don't even want to start! During my entire experience in Art Therapy workshops, the initial reaction of my students was always: "I cannot do that." Little did they know, they can always do anything; just simply give it a try and you can, too! You simply have to begin. How? Just do the basics and the rest will follow. My first art mentor has once said, "If you can draw a line or a circle, you can also paint." I kept that in mind and I started to create.
Especially in this time of the pandemic, many of us are dealing with a lot of emotions. Stress and depression are so prevalent these days. But how can someone deal with these aside from the usual things that they do? Creativity is the key, darling.
Creativity, art, is not just about painting or drawing. You can do a lot of things to express your emotions. Have you ever tried getting a piece of paper and tried to make a doodle? See how it works? The more you express your emotions, the more likely you release your stresses and negative energy in as much as going through a workout! Just like a famous quote from Twyla Tharp: "Art is the best way to escape without leaving home." Just simply try it. I always say this whenever I do Art workshops: Every one of us is an Artist of our own. You just have to go out of that basket and allow your creativity to navigate you.
I hope that this blog inspires and may somewhat help you with whatever you're dealing with. Should you wish to try it but don't know how to begin, leave a comment or shoot me a message, I will try to help. Let's see how can we turn our blues into something creative. God bless you! :)
The earth without art is just eh.
